Inspired by Super Mario RPG, Star Ocean: The Second Story, and many more of my fondest memories playing role-playing games growing up.

My goal was to be funny, draw inventive designs with a lot of personality, and be a bit bolder and more unusual with color schemes.

Basically, these are the kinds of characters I would make if I was making a mecha-themed fantasy RPG :D

You should keep it up. This would be an amazing turn based RPG.
It has mecha, humor, all that's missing are unnecessarily over dramatic special attacks often involving food. (Because why would giant robots need giant food combat?!?!)

I really like "Samurai Jester", but... Moatron comes a close second though. Both somehow remind me of some of the mecha in Big O.

These are really great! Very imaginative.
No big stretch to imagine these in some very fun mech RPG. I'd play it for sure! :D

So what is patch together? If you won the contest there, they will make a toy based on your design?

Basically, yeah :p You first have to get enough people to vote for your design, and then after they produce the prototype, you need to get enough people to pre-order the actual figure. They make the final editorial decisions on what gets made, but it doesn't seem like it take an extreme number or people.
